This year marks America's 250th birthday. To commemorate this special day, we have designed and hand printed the Indigo Spangled Bandana. Block printed with a resist, the tiny dots evoke everything July 4....from the star spangled banner to a sky lit with fire works. Celebration in the most sustainable and long lasting way.
Approximately 26" square, each bandana is hand printed with indigo plant dye. The ancient method of block printing uses the human hand to stamp the design with dye or resist paste in this case. The scarf is then dipped into a vat containing Indigo that colors the cloth. Indigo grew alongside cotton in the south eastern United States and this scarf connects many dots to embrace this day.
Pair with denim, white and red for a wonderful patriotic look. Gift it as a special keepsake and remember that each scarf is handmade, unique and will stand the test of time with many washings. Our products are made with intention and incorporate the ways of "slow fashion."
