Block Print Rectangular Kutch Scarf - Santa Fe

Hand block printed by Master Artisans in Kutch, the colors are made of madder root and indigo plant dye. The border is a typical Ajrakh design, printed using a resist technique. The process is complicated and takes time as the cotton must be washed in running water and dried in the sun to cure the dyes.

The look is eclectic and the fine cotton is comfortable and warm around the neck or shoulders. The scarves make wonderful, very special collectibles and gifts. They look great as a collection.
