Indigo Scarf - Zig Zag
Indigo Scarf - Zig Zag
A fabulous Zigzag, this Indigo hand printed scarf is a must for any design and or textile lover. Hand block printed using the "Dabu" method, a resist paste coats the white areas, the fabric is then dipped into a vat containing the plant dye, Indigo. The result is a magical blue scarf with textured lines. The process takes skill to get two blues in different weights. The border and edges have a cracked finish, similar to batik. The human touch makes this scarf absolutely beautiful.
The photographs show Indigo dye vats and yarns dyed in different shades of Indigo. This picture was taken in Kutch, India. Historically, many parts of the world colored fabric in this way before chemical dyes were developed and used widely.
One of my most popular items, this scarf is irresistible as a gift or accent for any outfit. Fabulous with denim, Outer wear, linen....anything!
