Quilted Block Print Reversible Throw - Indigo Fir

Hand made in pure cotton, this cozy Throw is reversible and block printed with Indigo. We have photographed it with wood, white cotton and cane finishes. It elevates a living space and is great to warm up after a long walk or while reading; watching your favorite show on TV.

A beautiful tree motif trimmed with  a block printed border as well as a hand woven, denim styled piping to finish. The reverse is also trimmed with the border pattern and lined with a denim styled soft cotton. Use it any side. 
Quilted with a cotton batting, the throw is wonderfully soft and drapes well over ones feet for utmost comfort. 

The Indigo print process is ancient and facinating. Indigo is a plant dye and has been used in many parts of the world to color fabric. The dye process turns cloth into a wonderful, magical blue. 

The fabric for our quilt comes from Bagru, in North India. It is a center for hand block printing and Indigo dyeing. At Peaceware, supporting efforts towards craft preservation is a big focus, along with pattern, design and ethical sourcing. The printing, quilting and stitching are done by artisan communities who work by hand or use simple tools like a sewing machine. We design our products in Davidson, North Carolina. For a cozy look, display on a couch or comfy chair. The style is eclectic and looks great from midcentury to country chic.
