Raw Silk and Khadi Shawl - Cinnamon & Sage

The weaver of this raw silk shawl has given us an unexpected combination of colors that delight the senses.  Dress up any occasion with this stripy, textured, generously sized scarf. A soft, muted blend of sage and earth browns is finished with handwoven tassels and a lovely, comfortable size. The khadi and silk keep you warm as well as soften with age. 

There are many reasons this shawl is so special. The raw silk is collected and spun by hand. It is then handwoven with khadi on ancient wooden looms that have been passed down from one generation to the next. The textures within the silk fabric are beautiful and show in their natural state along the entire piece. This Shawl would make an unforgettable gift and a treat for any textile lover though I would find it very hard to part with.
